FAQs
How often should I clean my fireplace?
Fireplaces should be (at a minimum) cleaned and inspected yearly, however this depends highly on the use of the fireplace.
I have an overwhelming smell of smoke throughout my house when i burn what is wrong?
As relaxing as fireplaces are they do smell, however if you notice the smell is overwhelming and you see smoke coming back into the home instead of the chimney you should call and schedule an appointment immediately those are indicators of a draft issue.
Can't I just use one of those fireplace cleaning logs?
In our experience the use of "cleaning logs" can actually help break down heavy buildup, BUT it is NOT a replacement for a sweep and inspection. Remember the use of your fireplace is half the battle, we also need to inspect your fireplace to make sure that water is not entering your home and causing damages that can become very costly.
I know water is coming in my chimney how do I fix that?
We have many different ways of combatting this issue, repairs for water intrusion depend on what fireplace you have and where the water is coming in from, there are many parts of a fireplace that can allow water in but rest assured if we perform an inspection we will find the issue and make it stop at once!
